In Drainplan, your overlays will save with the drawing (.drainage) file. This means you can send this file to another machine and they will be able to open it with the overlay.
Google Maps
[Using google maps with DrainPlan]
Using Google Maps with DrainPlan is easy, follow these steps:
Select Map Overlay:
Select "Map Overlay" tab in the top right corner of DrainPlan, here you can select "Google Maps".
Searching an Address:
Google maps will initiate and you should see the world map, the tab should have opened for you in the top right. Otherwise go to "Map Overlay" and then select the "Edit map" to search the map.
Using Postcode & Address line: This is the most convenient way to find a location you are looking for, you must enter a postcode and address line to be able to search.
Using latitude & longitude: If you are struggling to find what you are looking for you can enter world coordinates to accurately locate a place.
Search: Once you have entered either address details of coordinates, select the "Search" button to load the map.
Navigation:
If you wish to adjust the map slightly, go to "Map Overlay" and then click "Edit Map" once again.
Under "Map Navigation" you can click the nav arrows to move the map as needed, you may have to click the Lock Prompt in the middle of these arrows to unlock the controls, you can lock the controls at any point to prevent accidently adjusting the map.
Map types:
You can switch the map type from "Satellite" to "RoadMap" at any point. To do this go to "Map Overlay" and then click "Edit Map".
You can find these settings under "Map Type".
Upload Image

Uploading an image to DrainPlan is easy, follow these steps:
Select Map Overlay:
Select "Map Overlay" tab in the top right corner of DrainPlan, here you can select "Upload Overlay".
Select file to upload:
A prompt will appear to select the file you wish to use, currently you can only upload .png or .JPEG files. We will be looking into importing PDF's in the future
Adjusting Position, Scale or opacity:
If you wish to adjust position, scale or opacity of the overlay, go to "Map Overlay" and select "Edit Overlay". Here you can adjust settings for your overlay.
